Love the colours kim. I would guess it's cross stitch and they almost look 'Halloween' style colours!! and would they be Weeks Dye Works threads by any chance?

The colors are great!! My guess is that you're going to start the Lizzie Kate's Boo Club series. The same yummy colors arrived in my mailbox too!!
